Each one of Haak's artworks are imbued with elaborate self-developed storylines. In the Underwater series, her goal is to create work that sheds light on sustainable practices that can help recreate healthy ecosystems in our oceans, such as the technique of 'gardening coral'. In this particular work, Haak envisions a new creature, where organism with natural symbiotic relationships such as corals, jelly fish and fish, are intertwined entirely to create a new wholistic creature.
